Works With PS3, XBOX 360, PC & Mac
The PX21 is a Universal Headset that works on all major gaming platforms. The microphone can be used with PSN, XBOX LIVE and PC chat for clear communication while hearing the game in full-bandwidth stereo sound. When used on a PC or Mac, the headset works as two separate headsets in one. The stereo USB section lets you control VoIP programs such as Skype, Ventrilo, and Teamspeak with the chat volume control on the amplifier unit, while the stereo game audio from your sound card output is controlled by the game volume control. This lets you use the PX21 amplifier controls to balance the chat and game sound while playing games on your PC, just as you would on the PS3 or XBOX LIVE. The Chat Boost feature also works on PC chat signals, so you’ll always hear what others are saying, regardless of how loud the game gets.
Rotating Ear Cups
Twist the ear cups to rest the PX21 flat on your shoulders when taking a break from the game.
Stereo Expander
The Stereo Expander enhances the sounds coming from the left and right sides and decreases sounds that are in the center, allowing you to “tune in” to sound cues from enemies that might be sneaking up on you. When turned on, the expander makes the stereo field seem “wider”, as if it originates from outside the headset, which makes the game sound more dramatic than standard stereo.
Chat Boost – Dynamic Talkback Expander
The Chat Boost feature automatically increases the chat levels during intense game sequences, so communication from teammates isn’t drowned out. As the game audio gets louder, the chat volume is automatically increased – which lets you continue to hear what everyone is saying. When the game volume quiets down, the chat level will gradually return to the normal volume setting. You can see it working by looking at the chat level light, which gets brighter as the game get louder and the chat level increases. It’s a simple solution to an annoying problem, and it all happens automatically – so you don’t have to adjust anything!
Microphone Monitoring
If you’re wearing a headset, it’s difficult to hear yourself speak, so you’ll tend to talk louder. To address this, the PX21 incorporates microphone monitoring. Just like a telephone, the PX21 mixes a small portion of the mic signal into the headphone signal, so you can hear some of your voice along with the online chatting and game audio. This lets you easily sense what you’re saying, but not so much that it’s distracting. Mic monitoring not only helps you stop talking so loud, it also eliminates that annoying “clogged ears” feeling when talking while headphones are covering your ears.
Bass Boost
The PX21 headset incorporates an adjustable bass boost feature that produces deep, rich bass tones by increasing the volume of low frequency sounds – just like turning up the subwoofer on a home theater system. This can improve your gaming experience by gradually enhancing the sound of explosions, gun shots and other deep-bass sound effects to make them even more dramatic. Bass boost can be manually adjusted with a dial on the amplifier. You might want to do this, for example, when using the Ear Force PX21 for listening to music that requires a flat frequency response for truer reproduction.
Independent Chat/Game Volumes
Conventional communicator earpiece headsets compromise your gaming experience by covering one ear for hearing chat audio and leaving the other ear for hearing game audio pumping from speakers. The PX21 overcomes this problem by combining impactful stereo game audio with online chat in a high fidelity stereo headset – delivering the ultimate gaming experience with privacy and clarity. There are independent volume controls for the game audio and incoming chat levels – so you can easily balance them and never have to worry about missing a cue from your teammates.
USB Powered
A single USB port powers the in-line amplifier, so there is no need to fuss with batteries or a separate AC power adapter.

Product Review
His clarity of speech and high regards for the set immediately made me want to rush out and get a pair. So I did.
The PX21 Earforce headset from Turtle Beach is as cool as peanut butter. It’s compatible with XBOX360, PC, and PS3 – and it’s extremely easy to go from package to play.
Others have mentioned “hissing”. That’s never been a problem for me. Seriously, if anyone thinks this headset isn’t a vast improvement over any blutooth, they are sadly mistaken.
The product details are accurate. This thing has adjustable controls for precise settings. Most remarkable, is the chat amp that automatically boost your voice during action, and allows you to hear youself in both ears. So, when speaking, you get what you hear- whether shout or whisper. Your choice.
It also has a solid, adjustable bass amp built in, so your predicaments can be as intense as your little heart desires. And nubes won’t sneaking up and knifing you any more. Trust me, it’s like 3D gaming for your ears.
Bottom line: these are cool. They are large, light and cushy. You are likely to feel like a real helicopter pilot, as you’ll definitely look like one. The firm, adjustable voice receiver is solid and stays where you set it. It also works great with voice apps on the PC.
Don’t worry about whether or or not they give enough cord length between your headset and your system. It’s atleast ten feet long, maybe longer.
I normally review films, but on occasion a gadget comes along that’s so cool I want to tell my amazon friends about it.
